Environmental Funders & Media Forum
The Council for Watershed Health is hosting the first Environmental Funders and Media Forum. This is a great opportunity for local environmental leaders to hear from grantmakers with an eye on sustainability and the environment. There will be two panels, the first will allow funders to talk about various grants available to environmental groups looking to start or finish green projects in Southern California.
The second panel will showcase media groups and members who uncover and promote the environmental work being done in the greater Los Angeles region. These panels will be followed by a questions and answers session from the audience. The forum is meant to create a space where non-profits can network and share their ideas.
Who:
Local non-profit environmental leaders and foundation, corporate and media representatives.
Why:
There is comparatively little funding for environmental causes in Los Angeles. With fewer resources to go around, environmental organizations in Southern California need to think smarter and more collaboratively about how they obtain funding. Hearing directly from grantmakers will give organizations a chance to hear first hand about opportunities and strategies to secure funding.
